Our Story

Elaiou Kallos — Ελαίου Κάλλος brings together two Greek ideas: elaio, olive oil, and kallos, beauty. The name expresses a simple ambition: to present the beauty of a very specific olive oil through its place, the people behind it and the facts of each harvest.

A gift from Choumeriako

The identity of Elaiou Kallos begins in Choumeriako, in Crete’s Mirabello Valley. It is not built around a generic “Greek” or “Cretan” origin. Choumeriako is the place to which the family roots, agricultural memory and the olive-growing story of the product belong. The village has a documented agricultural history that includes family olive mills, while olive cultivation remains an important part of its present landscape.

Roots, craft and a limited production

The back-of-bottle story speaks of a sincere gift from a small village, made with dedication to ancestral roots, tradition, craft and passion. On the website we make that sentiment concrete: the 2025 First Release came from specific plots in Choumeriako, from 100% Koroneiki olives, and only 188 bottles were produced.

What the 2025 production record says

The published production notes for the 2025 release state that the olives came from specific plots and were not mixed with fruit from other growers; cultivation was without irrigation, fertilisers or pesticides; the olives were milled quickly, on the following day; and the oil was bottled unfiltered in black glass. These are release-specific facts, not permanent claims that will be copied to a future production without verification.

Beauty supported by evidence

For Elaiou Kallos, premium presentation is not meant to replace proof. Every completed production is treated as a distinct release with its own harvest facts, bottle count, provenance and analysis. The 2025 laboratory results are published directly on this website so the customer can understand the product without leaving the official store.
